Gainsborough Silverware Manufacturers Gainsborough Silverware Collections, now part of the B.D.G. Manufacturing group, designs and manufactures silver plated cutlery and serving ware , primarily for use in hotels and the wider hospitality industry. With their factory in Birmingham and workshops in Sheffield, historically the two centres of silverware production in England, Gainsborough is one of the few remaining companies in the United Kingdom with the skills and experience to produce silver ware in both traditional and contemporary styles. The roots of the company go back more than 50 years to when the founder, Dennis Hope, added a catering arm, to his very successful silver-plated giftware business. When Pepper & Hope was eventually sold, Dennis Hope founded Gainsborough to continue the tradition of his old company. Gainsborough products are now to be found in fine dining situations in many parts of the world, adding to the sense of exclusivity and luxury that the discerning guest appreciates.
